Dr. Maria Salazar
Dr. Salazar received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 1997 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Following her graduation, she completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She then relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, where she practiced for four years before moving to Woodstock with her family, where she has been based ever since. Her primary interests encompass dermatology, ophthalmology, and preventative medicine.
Dr. Salazar resides in Woodstock with her family, including three children and their fur babies: Luka, an energetic standard poodle; Charlie, a sweet beagle mix; Happy, a beautiful long-haired gray and white kitty; Domino, a mischievous little kitten, and Sweet Potato, the feline princess of the house. When she is not at work, she enjoys her free time with her family, attending school football and basketball games, volleyball tournaments, mountain bike races, and dance recitals. Her hobbies include photography and gardening, and her preferred type of vacation is anywhere there is a beach! She feels blessed to be a part of such a special team where she can provide top-notch medical care to maintain the health of your fur babies and nurture the human-animal bond. Being fully bilingual in English and Spanish, we consider her a valuable team member, able to assist our Spanish-speaking community and their pets.
