Dr. Emily Wohlford

Dr. Wohlford, a proud Georgia native with dual citizenship in Canada, embodies a truly international perspective. Her educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University in 2008, followed by the pursuit of her passion, leading her to the University of Georgia, where she achieved her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Ever since, Dr. Wohlford has been dedicated to practicing small animal medicine in the vibrant communities of Roswell and Marietta.

A strong believer in the importance of family, she shares her local life with her loving husband and their energetic son, along with a cherished dog and two rescue cats. When not nurturing the health and well-being of animals, Dr. Wohlford finds solace in spending quality time with her loved ones and satisfying her wanderlust through captivating travels around the world.

Dr. Maria Salazar

Dr. Salazar earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 1997 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After graduating, she completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She then moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where she practiced for four years. Later, she relocated to Woodstock with her family and has been there ever since. Her primary interests include dermatology and ophthalmology, as well as preventative medicine.

Dr. Salazar resides in Woodstock with her family, including her three children and their beloved fur babies: Charlie, a sweet beagle mix; Happy, a beautiful long-haired gray and white kitty; Domino, a mischievous little kitten; and Sweet Potato, the feline princess of the house. When not at work, she enjoys spending her free time with her family at school football and basketball games, volleyball tournaments, mountain bike races, and dance recitals. Her hobbies include photography and gardening, and her preferred type of vacation spot is anywhere with a beach. She feels blessed to be a part of such a special team where she can provide top-notch medical care for your fur babies and enhance the human-animal bond. Being fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she considers herself a valuable team member who can assist our Spanish-speaking community and their pets.

Dr. Lauren Saroli

Dr. Saroli grew up on Long Island, NY, and has spent time around the world in Honduras, Australia, South East Asia, and the Caribbean for schooling, as well as traveling as her favorite hobby. She received her BS in Zoology with a minor in Chemistry in New York. After a gap year in Australia she continued to Veterinary School in St. Kitts & Nevis, where she graduated with honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and spent her clinical year at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Saroli first completed an externship with Express Vets and fell in love with the company, exceptional doctors, staff, and clientele. She has a passion for preventative medicine and her favorite part of being a veterinarian has been building relationships with her clients and patients.

When Dr. Saroli is not working, you can usually find her spending time with her family/friends, enjoying music, or hanging out with her adorable pup, Roo.

Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant

Yvette resides in Acworth with her husband and three kitties, Chevy, Mustang Sally, & Pepperoni. Prior to working with animals, she spent several years in the restaurant industry. In 2018, she decided to make a career change and started working in animal rescue. With a passion to learn more about animal care, she started her journey with Express Vets in 2023. She is continuously excited to learn new things and grow her knowledge. She has had a love for all animals since she was a little girl, but her true passion is cats! In her spare time, she enjoys fostering kittens in need, spending time with her husband, going to concerts, and is a big fan of a good afternoon “cat nap”.

Jaylyn

Veterinary Assistant

Jaylyn resides in Ranger, Ga with her two cats, Motley and Boo Boo. Originally from Elijay, Ga, Jaylyn started her veterinary career at a full-service animal hospital in Blue Ridge in 2021. This is where her love and passion for animals began to grow. Jaylyn joined the Express Vets team in January 2024, and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to become an RVT! During her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and playing Pokémon Go with her friends!

Shane

Veterinary Assistant
Practice Owner

Shane joined the Express Vets team in 2023 and has been working with animals in one capacity or another since he was 18. His favorite part about his job is cuddling with his furry friends. He currently shares custody of a standard poodle and hopes to retire to the Scottish Highlands on a sheep farm one day.

Haley

Veterinary Assistant
Practice Owner

Haley joined our team in October of 2022 as one of our Veterinary Assistants. She grew up in the pumpkin-loving town of Sycamore, Illinois where her love for animals first began. After moving to Georgia, she progressed into the veterinary medicine field and later worked at a shelter, developing a passion for working with shelter animals. Haley is a student at Penn Foster and is currently working on obtaining her Veterinary Technician degree. She has a rescue pitbull, named Junie B, a tabby named Gus Gus, and a schnauzer named Toby who she thinks looks like Sam Elliot. When she’s not studying or spending time with her family and friends, she’s dueling people with her lightsabers.
